How to Access the Transcripts and Additional Information

To date the Museum's Oral History Program has gathered and processed over 500 hours of material, as well as related manuscripts and photographs. Each interview has been fully processed with a brief abstract outline (click here to access) and a detailed transcript. Some files include additional information about the subject, such as newspaper articles, obituaries, or references to related manuscript, photograph, or artifact collections.

Completed interview tapes, transcripts, and files are available to researchers through the the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum Oral History Program Archives. Interview tapes and transcripts completed prior to 2016 are also available at the New Mexico State University Library Archives & Special Collections Department. The Museum and the ASC have a cooperative arrangement to make these materials available to the public through their reading room instead of in the limited confines of the Museum's Oral History Program office. The ASC is open weekdays, with reduced hours during school holiday periods. Check their web site or call them at (575) 646-3839 for further information.
